Kathryn Meintzer Lester

BARNESVILLE, GA - Mrs. Kathryn Meintzer Lester, age 70, of Barnesville, GA, formerly of Montezuma, GA passed away Sunday, July 28, 2024 at Eternal Hope Hospice in Griffin, GA.

Graveside services  will be held Tuesday, July 30, 2024 at 10 AM at the Montezuma Mennonite Church Cemetery with Minister Donnie Swartzentruber offiating the service.

Kathryn was born on August 23, 1953 in Poplarville, Mississippi to the late Ann Powers Meintzer and John Christian Meintzer. She loved doing crafts, stamp collecting and playing card games. She was a teacher for many years.

She is survived by her loving husband of 51 years, Terry Anderson Lester of Barnesville, GA; four children, Emily Debary (Jeremy) of Ocala, FL, Michael Benjamin Lester (Megan) of Barnesville, GA, Noah Lester (Lydia) of Montezuma, GA and Joe Lester (Ann) of Montezuma, GA; two sisters, Becky Cocorrli (Penio) of Italy and Tina Grier (Eddie) of Yatesville, GA; 6 grandchildren, Jeffrey Debary, Molly Debary, Josiah Debary, Carson Lester, Turner Lester and Jackson Lester; many nieces and nephews also survive. She is preceded in death by her son, Robert Bradley Lester.
