Anne Gregors Shuman

ALBANY, GA - Anne Gregors Shuman, age 85, of Albany, Georgia passed away Thursday, March 7, 2024.

There will be a memorial service celebrating Anne’s life on Saturday, March 16, 2024 at 3:00 PM at Watson-Mathews Funeral Home Chapel.

Anne was born on February 6, 1939 in Macon, Georgia to the late George Thomas Gregors and Velma Warren Gregors. She was also preceded in death by her son, Toby Webb Melvin and her husband, Neil Myron Shuman.

Anne worked as a clerk for many years with the Dougherty County Magistrate Court in Albany, Georgia. Anne and her husband were members of Eastside Baptist Church in Marrietta, Georgia for many years. Anne was free-spirited, joyful, funny and loved spending time with her family.

Anne is survived by her loving family, her three children, George Tyler Melvin and wife Paula of Albany, Georgia and Terri Lynn English and husband Joe of Leslie, Georgia, and Katherine Nicole Rumble and husband, Scott of Trussville, Alabama; first cousins, Ginnie Nevins of Lexington, South Carolina and Carol Brown of Albany, Georgia; also surviving are 9 grandchildren, Jamie Surface (Lindsey), Jonathan Surface, Shawn Bell (Temporance), Toby Bell, Anthony Tyler Melvin, Christina M. Wingate (Brandon), Brittney Geer (Lawrence), Toby Wojthowski (Casey) and Abigail Elisabeth Stephens. 15 great grandchildren, Danielle Melvin, Ian Wingate, Emmet Wingate, Emma Geer, Lyla Geer, Tripp Surface, Kylie Surface, Gaberial Surface, Everiet Surface, Ethan Bell, Zoey Bell, Landon Bell, Reina Bell, Carter Bell and Issac Bell.
