Mrs. Wynelle Christmas Hunt, age 83, of Oglethorpe, GA passed away peacefully Sunday evening, May 3, 2009 at Heartland Hospice House in Macon, GA surrounded by her loving family.

Visitation with family will be this evening (Monday, May 4. 2009) from 6 to 8 PM at Watson-Mathews Funeral Home in Montezuma.

Funeral services will be held at 11 AM, Tuesday, May 5 at Whitewater Baptist Church in Oglethorpe, GA with Rev. Jeff Ray officiating. Burial will follow in the Oglethorpe Memorial Gardens Cemetery.

She was born on May 13, 1925 in Vienna, GA to the late Lee Christmas and Julia Holmes Christmas. She was a homemaker and member of Whitewater Baptist Church.

Survivors include her children, Jim and Brenda Hunt of Jacksonville, FL, Lindon Hunt of Elko, GA; sisters, Hazel Light of Ashburn, GA, Leanora "Tina" Bush of Mineola, FL; brother, Buddy Christmas of Vienna, GA; grandchildren, Richard and Brandye Grogg, Shelly Hunt, Ted and Marcie Hargiss, Leanna and Ashley Jones; great grandchildren, Macy, Ashley, Alyssa and Raeleigh.

She is preceded in death by her husband, James R. Hunt, Sr., sisters, Grace Bush of Macon and Mildred Brantley of Vienna.
