Mr. William E. "Buddy' Epps, 87, of Montezuma, Georgia passed away Friday, August 20, 2021 at Summerhill Senior Living Community.
A graveside service will be held on Monday, August 23, 2021, at 1:00 p.m. at Bertha Dozier Memorial Park and Reverend Damon Fountain will officiate.
Mr. Buddy will lie in state at Watson-Mathews Funeral Home on Sunday from 9:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. and on Monday from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm.
Family and friends are asked to assemble at the cemetery at 12:45 PM on the day of the service.

He was born in Twiggs, County in 1933 to the late Lesham Elmo Epps and Lillian Mae Blackshear Epps. Mr. Buddy was co-owner of Epps Used Cars of Macon, Georgia for over 47 years and a member of Cedar Valley Church in Montezuma. He was a drummer for the Georgia Playboy's for several years, and loved his old cars and music.
His memory will forever be treasured by his daughters, Dale (Tom) McDonald of Macon,Georgia, Betty Reckling (Bill) of St. Simons, Georgia; two stepchildren: James Hutto(Donna) of Flower Mound, TX, and Faye Vanzant (John) of Thomasville, Georgia; son-in-law, Russell Kitchens, ten grandchildren: Renee Simmons (James), Randal Hutto, Ashley Kelly (Asa), Rachael Hutto, Tim Vanzant (Machelle), James Vanzant, Angela Chihoski (Michael), Andrea Hood (Cham), Chad McDonald (Melody) andPamela Lawson (Chris). Also surviving are eleven great-grandchildren: Randal Hutto, Daisy Hutto, Jeremy Hatcher, Grace Chihoski, Nicholas Chihoski, J.D. Chihoski, Shelley Hood, Richard Hood, Ainsley McDonald, Aiden McDonald, and Alexis Lawson.
He is preceded in death by his beloved wife, Carolyn Spradley Epps, a sister, Kathleen Vaughn and brother-in-law, Bama Vaughn of Cape Canaveral, Florida, stepfather, Cliff Martin, step-mother, Lorene Epps and step-daughter, Dovie Kitchens
