The service will be held at 2:00 PM, on Friday, January 13th at Andersonville National Cemetery with full military honors.Reverend Sidney Clay will be officiating.Visitation will be held at Watson Mathews Funeral Home on Friday, January 13th from 12:30 p.m to 1:30 p.m.
Mr. Childs was born in Ideal, Georgia on January 26, 1938 to the late William Owen Childs and Lelia Iris McInvale Childs. He retired from the Air Force with the rank of Master Sergeant.Mr. Childs was of the Baptist faith.
Mr. Childs is survived by three brothers: Kenneth Childs (Karon) of Ideal, Georgia, Mike Childs (Gail) of Canton, Ohio, Randy Childs (Diana) of Ellaville, Georgia; three sisters: Linda C. Hester of Manchester, Georgia, Margie C. Hinman (Lloyd) of Rome, Georgia and Gail C. Boughton of Newnan, Georgia, and many nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews.Mr. Childs is preceded in death by one brother, Charles Childs.
Flowers will be accepted.
