OGLETHORPE, GA - Wayne Wadsworth, age 56, of Oglethorpe, GA passed away Saturday, November 26, 2011 at the Flint River Hospital in Montezuma, GA.

A graveside service will be held Tuesday, November 29, 2011 at 11 a.m. at Oglethorpe Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Jason Roberts will officiate the service.

The family will receive friends Tuesday from 10 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. at the funeral home.

Mr. Wadsworth was born on March 30, 1955 in Montezuma, GA to the late John Caswell Wadsworth, Jr. and Evelyn Christmas Wadsworth. He completed his bachelor of science degree in biology and minor in math at Georgia Southwestern State University in Americus, GA. He was a self-employed farmer and a relief postal clerk with the U.S. Postal Service. He was a member of Pine Level United Methodist Church in Oglethorpe, GA.

He is survived by his sister and brother-in-law, Carol and Wayne Nelson of Montezuma, GA; aunt and uncle, Frances and Woodrow Hobbs of Oglethorpe, GA; two first cousins and their spouses, Sylvia and Charles Hogg of Oglethorpe, GA, Buddy and Jane Hobbs of Oglethorpe, GA; four second cousins and their spouses, Beverly and James Bergman of Perry, GA, Walt and Tracy Hogg of Huntersville, NC, Ryan and Camee Hobbs of Montezuma, GA, Adam and Elizabeth Hobbs of Perry, GA.

Watson-Mathews Funeral Home in Montezuma is in charge of funeral arrangements for Mr. Wayne Wadsworth.
