He was born on March 6, 1942, in Montezuma, Georgia to the late W. D. Poole and Jinevelyn Stafford Poole.He worked for C. E. Minerals in Andersonville as a heavy equipment operator for many years. He loved spending time with his family, especially all of the grandchildren. He enjoyed woodworking, loved to fish and was a veteran of the U.S. Army.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, December 11, 2021, from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Watson-Mathews Funeral Home.
A graveside service will be held on Sunday, December 12, 2021, at 2:00 p.m. at Ideal City Cemetery.
His memory will forever be cherished by his loving wife, Carolyn Odom Poole, of Ideal, Georgia; four children: Cindy Drakus (Leo) of Fernandina Beach, Florida, Samantha Leary of Warner Robins, Georgia, Carl Troy Stafford III (Nardos) of Doha, Qatar, Jason Wayne Poole of Ellaville, Georgia; two siblings: Wanda Kelley of Andersonville, Georgia and Richard "Ricky" Poole (Janice) of Ideal, Georgia.Also, surviving are eleven grandchildren: Matt Neisent (Amanda), Nick Neisent (Kristen), Bret Bechtel, Raven Drakus, Leo Drakus, Peirce Drakus, Vincent Drakus, Saysha Worthy, Justice Ballard (Jordan), Hunter Stafford, Hannah Stafford, and three great-grandchildren: Destiny Neisent, Layla Brown and Reece Hahn.
