Walter A. Levie

October 21, 1921 — May 30, 2010

Walter Adair Levie, age 88, of Montezuma, GA passed away Sunday, May 30, 2010.

Visitation will be TONIGHT (May 31, 2010) from 6:00 PM to 7:30 PM at the funeral home.

Funeral services will be 11:00 AM Tuesday (June 1, 2010) at the First Baptist Church of Montezuma with Dr. Randy Gregg officiating. Interment will follow in Bertha Dozier Memorial Park Cemetery in Montezuma.

A graduate of the University of Georgia, he served in the United States Army as a 1st Lieutenant. He was a lifelong farmer and businessman. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Montezuma.

He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Sybil L. Levie of Montezuma, GA; son and daughter in law, David and Sheila Levie of Montezuma, GA; daughter and son-in-law, Sandye and Joel Medlin of Montezuma, GA; four grandsons, Lindsey (Mary Ellen) Levie of Warner Robins, GA; Danny (Meg) Levie of Tennille, GA; Walt Medlin of Cordele, GA, Zack Medlin of Oglethorpe, GA; two great-grandchildren, John Levie of Warner Robins, GA and Maggie Levie of Tennille, GA; two sisters, Louila (Hank) Watson of Pompano Beach, FL, Christine Warren of Montezuma, GA; aunt, Eva Bramblett of Montezuma, GA and several nieces and nephews also survive.
