Wallace Alfred Britt Sr.

Wallace Alfred Britt Sr., age 84, of Montezuma, Georgia, passed away on Tuesday, April 4 ^th , 2023.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, April, 6 ^th , 2023 from 5:00 to 7:00 pm at Watson-Mathews Funeral Home. A Graveside Memorial Service with military honors will be held at The Rostrum at Andersonville National Cemetery on May 5 ^th , 2023, at 10:00am. David Lanius and Jim Allen will be officiating the service.

He was born on October 30 ^th , 1938 to late Herman Otis Britt and Ruby Hinton Britt.

Mr. Britt loved fishing, hunting and family. He was a member of Americus Church of Christ. He worked as a Civil Engineer at Robins Air force Base in Warner Robins along with being the owner of Britt’s Dry Cleaners in Montezuma, Georgia. Mr. Britt was a veteran of the United States Navy.

He is survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Edna Britt, along with three siblings, Phillip Adrian Britt (Carol) of Douglas, Georgia, Linda Little (Wade) of Bonifay, Florida and Andrew Britt of Montezuma, Georgia. He also has two children, Cynthia Shremshock of Reynolds, Georgia and Wallace “Sonny” Britt Jr. of Lake City, Florida and 7 grandchildren, Richard Shremshock III (Karrah) of Cleveland, Texas, Colby Britt (Brooke) of Ellaville, Georgia, Lacey Britt of Evans, Georgia, Bryson Britt (Britney) of Lake City, Florida, Brandy Shutters (Adam) of Ellaville, Georgia, Zachary Britt of Evans, Georgia and Ruby Elise Britt of Lake City, Florida. He is also survived by 4 great-grandchildren, Hudson Britt, Tristan Shremshock, Bastian Britt and Brensley Britt, along with many nieces and nephews.

Mr. Britt is preceded in death by his son Kenneth Edward Britt and Brother Howard Britt.
