Mrs. Virginia Rodriguez Rivera, age 81, of Montezuma, Georgia passed away Sunday morning, August 28, 2022 at her daughter's residence in Montezuma, Georgia.

A Funeral Mass will be held Wednesday, 12:00 PM, August 31, 2022 at Watson-Mathews Funeral Home Chapel, 322 North Dooly Street, Montezuma, Georgia. Interment will follow at Bertha Dozier Memorial Park Cemetery in Montezuma, Georgia. Father Carlos Pinzon will officiate the service.

Mrs. Rivera was born on February 28, 1941 in Los Reyes Mich, Mexico to the late Theodoreo Rodriguez and Inez Montano Rodriguez. She was also preceded in death by her son, Heriberto Rivera and 4 siblings, Esperanza Rodriguez, Maria Rodriguez, Jose Rodriguez and Alicia Rodriguez.

She is survived by her 7 children, Maria Eugenia Rivera (Javier Cruz), Sylvia Rivera (Lamberto Camacho), Bertha Gloria Rivera (Juan Contreras), Lorena Rivera, Eduardo Rivera (Teresa Avilla), Lourdes Rivera (Ofelia Castellanos) and Elvia Rivera; 2 siblings, Rafael Rodriguez and Angela Rodriguez. 15 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews also survive.
