The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m., Saturday, July 16, 2016 at Watson-Mathews Funeral Home. Funeral services are scheduled for 3 p.m., Sunday, July 17, 2016 at Still Water Chapel. Burial will follow in the Ideal City Cemetery.
Mrs. Derington was born April 25, 1945 in Lake Charles, LA to the late Joseph Howard Flint and Elsie Knee Flint.
Mrs. Derington is survived by her husband, Marvin Derington of Ideal, GA; five children: Marvin Joseph (Bonnie) Derington of Ellaville, GA, Jeffrey Richard (Christie) Derington of Rupert, GA, Chris (Susanne) Derington of Ellaville, GA, Scott Derington of Rupert, GA, and Virginia "Jennie" Derington of Butler, GA; and fifteen grandchildren: Jessica (Brandon) Miller, Christina (Daniel) Derington, Sara Jo Derington, Jason (Jessica) Smith, Ryan (Amy) Johnson, Brittany (Zachery) Causey, Aliyah Derington, C.J. Derington, Avery Olds, Bubba Derington, Annie Derington, Courtney Derington, Luke Derington, Gavin Derington, and Charlie Derington. Also surviving are eight great-grandchildren.
