MONTEZUMA, GA - Mrs. Viola Swartzentruber, 86, of Montezuma, Georgia, passed away Friday evening, October 7, 2016 at her home.
A funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM on Monday, October 10, 2016 at the Montezuma Mennonite Church, 2307 Whitehouse Road, Montezuma, GA. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
The family will receive friends on Sunday, October 9, 2016 from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM in the church fellowship hall.
She was born on March 12, 1930 in Norfolk, Virginia to the late Lloyd W. Yoder and Amelia Tice Yoder. She was a homemaker and a faithful member of Montezuma Mennonite Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lloyd Swartzentruber; three brothers, Melvin L. Yoder, Rufus L. Yoder Sr., and Menno Yoder; and one sister, Bertha Brennamen.
Survivors include her daughter, Brenda Kay Swartzentruber of Montezuma, GA; two sons, Dennis Swartzentruber and his wife Marlene of Montezuma, GA, Donny Swartzentruber and his wife Bertha of Montezuma, GA; a sister, Elva Beiler of Virginia Beach, Virginia; ten grandchildren and seventeen great grandchildren also survive.
