AMERICUS, GA - Mrs. Vicki Lenora Edgar, age 57, of Americus, Georgia passed away Tuesday, January 9, 2018 at Phoebe Sumter Medical Center in Americus, Georgia.

She was born January 22, 1960 in Americus, Georgia to the late Grover E. Barfield and Gladys Irene Raper Barfield.Mrs. Vicki was employed as a security guard by Wackenhut Security Company at International Paper in Oglethorpe, Georgia.During her leisure time, she enjoyed doing her needlepoint.

A private memorial service will be held on Friday, January 12, 2018 in the Watson-Mathews Funeral Home Chapel and Reverend Mark Poole will officiate.

Survivors include one brother, Grover M. "Mickey" and his wife Linda Barfieldof Montezuma, Georgia; and two sisters; Brenda B. and her husband Wayne Etheridge of Oglethorpe, Georgia and Carolyn B. and her husband Phonsie Poole of Marshallville, Georgia. Also surviving are four nieces and three nephews.

Mrs. Vicki is preceded in death by her loving husband, Ray Edgar and one sister, Myra Jo Tharpe.

In lieu of flowers, family has requested memorial donations be made to Cedar Valley Baptist Church, P.O. Box 716, Montezuma, Georgia 31063.
