Vadna Joyce Bickley

A memorial service will be held at 2 PM, Saturday, February 23, in the Chapel of Watson-Mathews Funeral Home in Montezuma with Elder Will Lewis, of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Saints in Perry, GA officiating. Family will receive friends one hour prior to the services.
Mrs. Bickley was born on July 14, 1941 in Dooly County, GA to the late Lilly Lamberth Barker and MacArthur Barker. She was one of eight children. She married James Monroe Bickley, Jr. of Marshallville, GA on January 20, 1961. He passed away on April 28, 1979. She lived in Perry, GA until 1981 then moved to Atlanta area, finally settling in Marietta, GA where she resided at her time of death.She was baptized and member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. She was preceded in death by her husband, James Monroe Bickley, Jr.; two sisters, Thelma Barker Williams and Elizabeth Barker; and three brothers, Howard "Pete" Barker, Melvin Barker, George "G.C" Barker .
Mrs. Bickley is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Paula Jean and William "Ken" Rice of Kennesaw, GA; two sons, James "Jim" Monroe Bickley III and Kenneth "Tony" Merrill Bickley both of Marietta, GA; granddaughter, Rebecca "Becky" Elizabeth Rice Sowar and her husband Jonathan "Jon" Joseph Sowar of Temple, GA; two great granddaughters, Ansley Kate Sowar and Allie Elizabeth Sowar of Temple, GA; sister, Juanita Hall of Jacksonville, FL; brother, Roy Barker of Montezuma, GA;and a host of numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Watson-Mathews Funeral Home of Montezuma is in charge of local arrangements.
