BYROMVILLE, GA - Mr. Troy Frank Thompson, age 59, of Byromville, GA, passed away Tuesday, October 27, 2015, at the Coliseum Medical Center in Macon. Visitation is scheduled for 3 p.m., Thursday, October 29, 2015 at Byromville Baptist Church in Byromville, GA. Funeral services will follow at 4 p.m. Rev. Jacob Brimm and Rev. Andy Blankenship will officiate the service. Interment will follow in Swearingen Cemetery.
Mr. Thompson was born April 26, 1956 in Montezuma, GA, to the late Tommy E. Thompson and Alma Dyal Thompson. He was a member and Deacon of Byromville Baptist Church. Mr. Thompson served as Fire Chief and a firefighter in Byromville for many years and also worked with the surrounding counties K-9 Units. He worked for Blue Bird Body Company and Tyson.
Mr. Thompson is survived by his wife, Sue Thompson of Byromville, GA; two children: Daniel Thompson and Sharon Thompson, both of Byromville, GA; a brother, Tommy (Carol) Thompson of Pineview, GA; a sister, Vickie (Billy) Youngblood of Byromville, GA; and a brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Ed (Rhonda) Youngblood. He also leaves behind a niece, Connie Walker of Perry, GA; and two nephews: William Thompson of Perry, GA, and Matthew Youngblood of Byromville, GA.
