ELLAVILLE, GA - Mr. Tommy Lester Smith, age 73, of Ellaville passed away Monday, November 7, 2016 at Phoebe Sumter Hospital in Americus, Georgia.Funeral services will be held on Thursday, November 10, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. in the Chapel of Watson-Mathews Funeral Home in Montezuma with Rev. James Aycock and Rev. Ray Smith officiating.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.Burial will follow at the Bertha Dozier Memorial Park Cemetery in Montezuma, Georgia.

Mr. Smith was born in Montezuma, Georgia on September 17, 1943.He was the son of the late Lester Earl Smith and Louise Dixon Smith.He was a retired electrician from the Montezuma Nursing Home.

He is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Kathleen Smith of Ellaville, GA : two daughters; Sandra Elaine Smith of Savannah, GA , Lindsey Smith Shott and husband, Fred of Gulf Breeze, FL.; one son: Tommy Lester Smith, Jr. and wife, Kathy of Warner Robins, GA; Savannah, GA, andadopted daughter, Lanie Gibbs of Savannah, GA. Mr. Smith is also survived by one sister, Evelyn Smith Hart of Marshallville, GA and one grandchild, Kayla Barrett and husband Ty of Ellaville, GA.
