Tommy Mcconnell
April 8, 1944 — December 16, 2015
Rev. McConnell was born April 8, 1944 in Royston, GA, to the late Thomas Lamar McConnell and Eunice Lee King McConnell. He was ordained into the ministry at the age of eighteen and served as pastor in many churches in the middle and south Georgia regions. Most recently he served as Pastor at County Line Baptist Church for almost twenty years. He was also Chaplain for the Schley County Sheriff's Department.
Rev. McConnell is survived by his wife, Cassi Marie McConnell of Cobb, GA; two children: Hugh T. (Lisa) McConnell, Jr. of Plains, GA, and Nona Michelle (David) Buchan of Douglas, GA; and a sister, Peggy Richardson of Albany, GA. He also leaves behind four grandchildren: Jennifer Nicole Hill, Tyler Keith Johnson, Kendall Michelle Dodson, and Jordan Mackenzie Buchan; one great-grandchild, McKenzie Hill, and six nieces.
