OGLETHORPE, GA - Mr. Thomas Pierce Pike, age 73, of Oglethorpe, GA passed away Sunday, October 1, 2017 at Phoebe Sumter Medical Center in Americus, Georgia.
Visitation will be held from 1:00 P.M. until 2:00 P.M., Wednesday, October 4, 2017 at Oglethorpe Baptist Church in Oglethorpe, Georgia.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M., Wednesday, October 4, 2017 at Oglethorpe Baptist Church in Oglethorpe, Georgia with Reverend Chet Ragsdale and Reverend Tim Ferguson officiating. Burial will follow at the Oglethorpe Memorial Gardens.
Mr. Thomas Pike was born May 5, 1944 in Montezuma, Georgia to the late Homer Franklin Pike and Beulah Mable Coletrane Pike. Mr. Pike served in the Navy during the Vietnam War and was also member of Oglethorpe Baptist Church.
He is preceded in death by five siblings: Lewis Franklin Pike, James Fred Pike, John Pike, Homer Pike and Louise Fike.
Survivors include his loving wife, Lou Ann Smith Pike of Oglethorpe, Georgia; six children; Thomas D. Pike of Oglethorpe, Georgia, Teresa Renae Mills of Perry, Georgia. Louis Franklin Pike (Tracy) of Perry, Georgia, Rhonda G. Hampton (Sam) of Perry, Georgia, Amy Pike Griffin (James) of Oglethorpe, Georgia and Brooke Pike also of Oglethorpe, Georgia; three sisters: Margie Ellison (Bobby) of Monroe, Georgia, Frances Hardin of Kansas City, Kansas, and Edna P. Britt (Wallace) of Montezuma, Georgia.Also surviving are numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and his four loving pets: Sassy, Trouble, Chipper, and Millie.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Oglethorpe Baptist Church, P.O. box 267, Oglethorpe, Georgia 31068.
