HOLLY HILL, FL - Thelma Richardson Hobbs, age 83, a resident of The Oaks Nursing Home in Marshallville, Ga passed away, Monday February 18, 2013. She was a resident of Holly Hill, FL for 55 years, before moving to the area.
Graveside service will be held at 2:30 PM, Thursday, Feb. 21, 2013 at Oglethorpe Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 12 Noon - 2:15 PM, Thursday, Feb. 21, 2013 at Watson-Mathews Funeral Home in Montezuma. Pastor Chet Ragsdale, of Oglethorpe Baptist Church will officiate the service.
The funeral procession will depart at 2:15 PM at the funeral home, going to Oglethorpe Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
Mrs. Hobbs was born on January 14, 1930 in Ashburn, Ga to the late Leon Edward Richardson and Emma Louise Edwards Richardson.
Survivors include her two daughters, Joanie (Ed) Murray and Beverly Miller; son, Mark (Patti) Hobbs; two sisters, Yvo Black and Velma Bray; 6 grandchildren, Heather Murray Perkins, Chris Murray, Sydni Murray Dokendorf, Ross Miller, Shannon Hobbs Lent and Amber Hobbs Russell; 2 great grandchildren, Krysta Perkins and Jarrett Perkins.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Sidney Hobbs; 2 sisters, Turista Fugate and Ennie Hardage, and a brother, Ed Richardson.
Watson-Mathews Funeral Home of Montezuma is in charge of funeral arrangements.
