Tara Barfield Melo

Tara Barfield Melo, age 49, of Ideal, Georgia, passed away on Tuesday, January 7, 2025.

A memorial service will be held on Friday, January 10, 2025 at 2pm at Ideal Baptist Church. Pastor Randy Harris will be officiating the service. Visitation will be held from 12pm to 2pm in the social hall of Ideal Baptist Church.

Tara was born on November 13, 1975 to Virgil Barfield and the late Charlotte Barfield.

She is survived by her loving husband, Rene Melo of Ideal, Georgia; her father, Virgil Barfield of Ideal, Georgia; two brothers, Mike James Barfield (Sarelly) of Whitehouse Tennessee, and Christopher  Barfield of Ideal, Georgia; two bonus sisters, Mickey Llano of Ideal, Georgia, and Faith Hogg Curtis of Ideal, Georgia; sister-in-law, Rosio Melo; brother-in-law, Walter Melo; and her beloved cat, Cali. She is also survived by her nieces and nephews, Andrew Barfield, Jared Barfield, Patrick Barfield, Gianna Barfield, Liam Barfield, Courtney Barrett (Brian), Katelynn Petty (Jake), Chase Curtis, Tyler Wright (Piya), Jordan Wiggins, Raiden Wiggins, Jamaica Colbert, Denys Lupita Melo, Jade Ariel Melo, Pablo Axel Melo, Kyle Aiden Melo, Kylie Jenner Melo; and four Godbabies.

Tara is preceded in death by her mother, Charlotte Barfield.
