She was born on April 13, 1942, in Thomaston, Georgia.She was a member of Still Water Chapel of Ideal and worked for Tyson Foods in Oglethorpe for many years.She loved spending time with her family, especially all of her grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Friday, November 26, 2021, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Watson-Mathews Funeral Home.
Funeral services are scheduled for Saturday, November 27, 2021, at 2:00 p.m. at Watson-Mathews Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Roy Petersonofficiating the service. Burial will follow at Oglethorpe Memorial Gardens.
The funeral service will be live-streamed on Watson-Mathews Funeral Home Facebook page.
Her memory will forever be treasured by her son, Bobby Barnes of Drayton, Georgia, and a daughter, Katherine Pilcher of Reynolds, Georgia, nine grandchildren: Josh Barnes, Julie Kelly, Tina Kelly, Nicole Bentley, Ashli Pilcher, Taylor Barnes, Haley Pilcher, Alissa Youngblood, and Paisley Youngblood and eight great-grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Buddy Barnes, her mother, Florine Edith Hogans, a son, Wayne Barnes, daughter, Mary Barnes, and sister, Tammie Roebuck.
