Steve Bridges, age 49, of Unadilla, GA passed away suddenly Tuesday night, March 31, 2009 at his residence due to complications from a heart attack.

A visitation and viewing was held Wednesday, April 1, 2009 from 6 to 8 PM at Watson-Mathews Funeral Home in Montezuma.

Funeral services were private.

He was born on June 3, 1959 in Montezuma, GA to the late Calvin Lee Bridges and Lillian Wisham Bridges. He formerly worked as a mechanic with Martins Auto Salvage and loved to fish, hunt, go camping and spend time with his family at cookouts.

Survivors include his longtime companion, Mary Louise Collins of Unadilla, GA; one daughter, Linda Michelle Kitchens of Byromville, GA; two sons, Steven Dewayne Bridges of Lilly, GA and David Alan Bridges of Unadilla, GA; one sister and brother-in-law, Brenda and Mac McDonald of Fort Valley, GA; two brothers and one sister-in-law, Harold and Becky Wilkes of Fort Valley, GA and Willie Fred Wilkes of Cordele, GA and eight grandchildren.
