ANDERSONVILLE, GA - Stephen Andrew Baker, age 60, of Andersonville, GA passed away, Friday night, March 23, 2012 at Phoebe Sumter Medical Center in Americus, GA.

Per his request, his body has been cremated and the family will hold a memorial service Friday, March 30th at 3 p.m. at Reeve's Landing on the Flint River with Revs. Roy and Jennie Peterson officiating.

He was employed with J & M Transportation in Americus and was a Vietnam Veteran who served in the United States Army. Mr. Baker was preceded in death by his daughter, Marsha Baker.

He is survived by his father, Clarence Baker of Montezuma, GA; three sons, Stephen Baker of Sylvester, Ga; David Baker and his wife, Brooks, of Sylvester, Ga; and Stevie Baker of South Carolina; three daughters, Melissa Baker Jones and her husband, Daniel, of Oglethorpe, Ga; Mary Baker of South Carolina; and Amy Baker of South Carolina; and a brother, Stanley Baker. His is also survived by six grandchildren and a host of other family members.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Watson-Mathews Funeral Home in Montezuma.
