Mr. Sam was born in Columbus, Georgia on March 12, 1953 to the late Willie Homer Wright and Nellie Hudson Wright.He was owner/operator of Wrights Grocery in Oglethorpe, Georgia for over forty years.
Family will receive friends on Saturday, June 10, 2017 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Watson Mathews Funeral Home.Funeral services have been scheduled for Sunday, June 11, 2017 at 3:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Watson Mathews Funeral Home with Rev. Ralph Price officiating.Burial will follow at Oglethorpe Memorial Gardens.
Survivors include his loving wife, Mary Ann Wright, of Oglethorpe, Georgia, one son; Michael Harris of Oglethorpe, Georgia; one daughter, Tina Patterson Yarbrough (Troy) of Oglethorpe, Georgia; two brothers, Paul Wright of Oglethorpe, Georgia and Donnie Wright of Phenix City, Alabama; one sister, Inez Youngblood (Johnny) of Juniper, Georgia. Also surviving are four grandchildren: James Patterson, Jake Patterson, Katie Patterson, Courtney Patterson and one great-grandchildren, Connor Patterson.He waspre-deceased by six siblings: Raiford Wright, Vivian Wright, Rudolph Wright, Liz Ronsonett, Chester Wright, and Darlene Wright.
Flowers will be accepted.
