Ronald Randolph Davis

ALBANY, GA - Ronald Randolph Davis, age 64, of Albany, GA, passed away, Thursday night, January 6, 2011 at Flint River Hospital in Montezuma, GA. He was a resident of Miona Geriatric & Dementia Center in Ideal, GA since June of 2009.

His family honored his request for cremation.

A private graveside service was held on Tuesday, Jan. 11 at Leesburg Cemetery.

Survivors include his two sisters, Terri (Johnny) Strawder and Bonna Jean Davis both of Albany, GA; two nieces, one nephew, one great niece and one great nephew also survive.

Ronald was born on July 14, 1946 in Albany, GA to the late John Randolph Davis and Bonna Reviere Davis. He was raised in a Baptist church in Albany, GA and graduated from Valdosta State with a major in Psychology and a minor in Music. While in college, the Lord lead him to Ministry. He traveled the world ministering and singing to others as well as being a guest speaker at revivals and concerts in many states. Mr. Davis was nominated in Texas for Out Standing Man of America in 1973. He has traveled to China and met well known people around the world including R.G. Lee, Jimmy Carter and Ralph Nader, just to name a few. He made and recorded, one album titled "Jesus Loves Me". Mr. Davis became an ordained Minister in Waycross, GA in the early 1970's. He has worked for many churches including First Baptist Church in Atlanta and Sherwood Baptist in Albany, GA.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Sherwood Baptist Church Music Ministry.

Watson-Mathews Funeral Home of Montezuma was in charge arrangements.
