OGLETHORPE, GA - Gregory "Ron" Woodard, age 56, of Oglethorpe, GA passed away Thursday, March 10, 2011 at the Medical Center of Central Georgia in Macon, GA.

Visitation will be from 7 to 9 PM, Sunday, March 13 at the funeral home.

Funeral services will be held at 11 AM, on Monday, March 14 in the Chapel of Watson-Mathews Funeral Home with Rev. Rex Odom officiating. Graveside services with military honors will follow at Andersonville National Cemetery.

Ron was born on July 21, 1954 in Kissimmee, FL to the late J.L. Woodard and Sue Cox. He was preceded in death by his son, Wayne Woodard and sister, Donette Woodard.He was a salesman with Bridgestone Tires and a U.S. Army Veteran of Vietnam.

Survivors include his wife, Dot Woodard of Oglethorpe, GA; two sons and daughters-in-law, Matthew and Cassandra Woodard of Oglethorpe, GA; Michael and Gwen Bellew of Oglethorpe, GA; Step-Father, Paul Cox, Sr. of Oglethorpe, GA; three sisters and brothers-in-law, Annette and Gerald Smith Tavares, FL, Linda and Jake Williams of Riverview, FL, Brenda Northern of Oglethorpe, GA;four brothers and sisters-in-law, Richard L. Woodard of Oglethorpe, GA, Paul Cox, Jr. and wife Berta of Buena Vista, GA, Marvin L. Woodard of Orlando, FL, Jimmy L. Cox of Oglethorpe, GA; six grandchildren, Caitlyn Bellew, Audrey Duncan, Remington Bellew, Kingston Woodard, MicKell Greene, Nickolas Woodard and a host ofnieces and nephews.

Flowers will be accepted.
