Richard Cheney Haugabook

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM, Tuesday, September 21, 2021, at the Montezuma United Methodist Church in Montezuma, Georgia. Pastor Jonathan Beckum will officiate the service. Burial will follow in the Felton Cemetery in Montezuma, Georgia.
The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM in the Montezuma Methodist Church Fellowship Hall on the day of the service.
The family will be at the Haugabook residence, 616 Rawls Street, Montezuma, Georgia.
Born May 22, 1954, in Adel, Georgia, he was the son of Janice Bailey Haugabook and the late Richard Cheney Haugabook, Sr.Ricky graduated from Southland Academy in 1972…the first graduating class.He attended Georgia Southwestern University and was a member of Sigma Chi Fraternity. Ricky was on the board of the Georgia Oilmen's Association and served one year as chairman.He was an avid golfer, President of the Men's Golf Association, and member of McKenzie Memorial Country Club. He was an advocate for the Macon Children's Home and served on the Pastor Parish Committee at First United Methodist Church.
His memory will forever be treasured by his loving wife, Connie Haugabook of Montezuma, Georgia; three children: Brandi Haugabook Roland (Chad) of Americus, Georgia, Richard Cheney Haugabook, III (Hadley) of Montgomery, Alabama, and John Leonard Haugabook of Montezuma, Georgia; his mother, Janice Bailey Haugabook of Montezuma, Georgia; two sisters: Gail Coogle (Tommy) of Oglethorpe, Georgia and Holli Farr (Paul) of Americus, Georgia; a sister-in-law, Brenda Duke (Lee) of Perry, Georgia;Also surviving are three grandchildren: Reese Cheney Roland, Bryant Davis Roland and Virginia Newell Haugabook and several nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his father, Richard Cheney Haugabook, Sr.
