MARSHALLVILLE, GA - Richard Arlen "Phil Clark" Lockerman, age 79, passed away Tuesday, February 03, 2015, at his home in Marshallville, GA. Visitation is scheduled for 6 to 8 p.m., Wednesday, February 4, 2015 at Watson-Mathews Funeral Home in Montezuma, GA. A graveside service will be held at 3 p.m., Thursday, February 5, 2015 at Snow United Methodist Church Cemetery in Unadilla with Rev. Christy Bandy officiating.
Mr. Lockerman was born July 25, 1935 in Byromville, GA to the late Richard H. Lockerman and Elizabeth Edwards Lockerman. He worked as Station Manager for over 40 years at WPGA Radio and Television in Macon, GA. Better known as "Phil Clark," Mr. Lockerman was the "Voice of the Lady Hornets" and broadcasted play by play for the Westfield School's sports teams. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers: Mack Lockerman and Ray Lockerman.
Mr. Lockerman is survived by his son Richard S. Lockerman (John Crowe) of Marshallville, GA, and a sister, Laverne Owens of Vidalia. He also leaves behind a host of other family members including three nephews, four nieces, one great-nephew, one great-niece, and many friends.
