Ideal, GA - Richard A. Albritton, age 75, of Ideal, GA passed away Wednesday, September 15, 2010 at Peach Regional Medical Center in Fort Valley, GA.
Funeral services were held on Saturday, September 18, 2010 at 3:00 PM at County Line Baptist Church, 6716 Highway 240 in Ellaville, GA with Rev. Roy Taylor and the Rev. Tommy McConnell officiating. Burial followed at the City of Ideal Cemetery, in Ideal, Georgia.
The family received friends from 1 PM to 3 PM on Saturday before the service at the church.
Pallbearers were Chad Stewart, Andy Myers, Brian Jackson, Trey Freeman, Stacey Burnette, and Tommy Albritton.
Mr. Albritton was born in Schley County, GA on July 23, 1935 to John Burton Albritton and Corrine Smith Albritton who are both deceased Mr. Albritton was the former mayor and councilman of Ideal. He was an expert butcher and the former owner and operator of Ideal Grocery. He loved his grandchildren, his nieces and his nephews, being on his farm, cooking outside, and watching the Atlanta Braves.
He is survived by his wife, LaRue Albritton of Ideal, GA; his five sons and daughters-in-law, Jim and Karen Albritton of Tifton, GA, John Albritton of Fort Valley, GA, David Albritton of Montezuma, GA, Scott and Cindy Albritton of Ellaville, GA and Mike Freeman of Ideal, GA; his brother and sister-in-law, Rayford and Margaret Albritton of Fayetteville, GA and his nine grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
