Rev. Ralph Price Jr.

MONTEZUMA, GA - Rev. Ralph Price Jr., 85, of Montezuma, Georgia, passed away peacefully on Thursday, August 22, 2024. Ralph was born on February 28, 1939, in Vienna, Georgia, to the late Jenny Fowler Price and Ralph Price Sr.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, August 24, 2024 at 11 am at Watson-Mathews Funeral Home in Montezuma, Georgia. Visitation will be held prior to the service from 9:30 am until 11 am. Pastor Craig Allen and Pastor Jeffery “Butch” Canady will be officiating the service. Interment will follow at Bertha Dozier Memorial Park Cemetery in Montezuma, Georgia.

Rev. Price was a Pentecostal Preacher for 35 years at Christian Heritage Worship Center in Oglethorpe, Georgia. He served the Lord for over 55 years. He was the owner and operator of Price Insurance Agency in Montezuma, Georgia for many years.

Survivors include his loving wife of over 63 years, Viola Epperson Price; two siblings, Burl Price (Valerie) of Hamilton, Georgia and Mike Price of Montezuma, Georgia; three children, Tim Price of Louisville, Kentucky, Retha Greene of Montezuma, Georgia and Ralph “Sandy” Price III (Vivian) of Oglethorpe, Georgia; nine grandchildren, Josh Price, Carrie Higgins, Jameson Greene, Candice Greene, Heather Wright (Jason), Jacob Ragan, Joseph Price, Jasmin Jones (Quinton) and Hannah Masters (Chad); along with many great grandchildren.

Rev. Price is preceded in death by his daughter, Jennifer Price; as well as seven siblings, Adel Price Crook, Jenelle Payne Price, Dick Price, Cleo Price, Marzell Peaster, Elsie Chambley, Billy Price and Tina Beamon.

Pallbearers will be Chad Masters, Quinton Jones, Sethe Greene, Lynn Peaster, Jameson Greene and Glenn Chambley.
