Retta Irby Green

MONTEZUMA, GA - Mrs. Retta Irby Green, 67, of Montezuma, GA passed away Tuesday, April 29, 2014 at Phoebe-Sumter Medical Center in Americus, GA. In accordance with Mrs. Green's wishes she was cremated and no services will be held.

Mrs. Green was born in Perry, GA on June 12, 1946 to the late John Feltz Irby and Sally Edna Ford Irby. She worked for many years as a Licensed Practical Nurse and was retired.

Mrs. Green is survived by her husband, Clyde Green, of Montezuma, GA; four children, Michelle Landreth of Lanett, AL, Steven Green of Macon, GA, Celeste Atkins and John Atkins, both of Warner Robins, GA, a brother Joe (Tammy) Irby of Lawrenceville, GA and a sister, Maggie Land of Alpharetta, GA. She also leaves behind nine grandchildren, Brandon Ussery, Jecelyn Anglin, Milli Thompson, Austin Anglin, Adrian Atkins, Lorena Atkins, Felice Calvillo, Chico Calvillo and Matthan Atkins. A host of other family members also survive.

Watson-Mathews Funeral Home of Montezuma is in charge of arrangements.
