Randall Lee Fontenot

March 19, 1951 — July 27, 2024

MONTEZUMA, GA - Randall Lee Fontenot , age 73, of Montezuma, Ga passed away, Saturday, July 27, 2024. Randy was born and raised in Kinder, Louisiana.

Randy dedicated his life to the work and message of the gospel of Jesus Christ. In doing so that message was spoken through Randy and was heard in many places such as Louisiana, New England, Florida and most recently Montezuma, Ga.

While in Montezuma Randy taught, prayed and worshiped alongside his people.

Born to Burgess and Vernelia (Savant) Fontenot whom he was proceeded in death by, along with his brother Bob. Randy began a life driven in reverence with one message, “ to share the gospel”!

Randy is survived by; his sisters, Charlotte and Wanda “Dolly”. His loving and devoted wife Jacqueline, “Jackie”, daughters; Elizabeth, Daphny, Missy and son Philip. Son-in-laws; Bill, C.D. and Jonathan. Grandchildren; Ashley, Alyssa, Michael and Michaela, Amber Brianna and Caedmon.

Along Randy’s journey he enjoyed the company of many pastors and mentors including but not limited to ; Norman Glover, Bert Vanderfoof, Charlie Coker, Jimmy Hicks and Jonathan Beckum.

Randy graduated with his Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing Administration, and supported his family by helping others in their health and wellbeing. He was a lifelong student of the word and a testimony of a life focused on God, his Son Jesus and the Holy Spirit.

Services will be held Friday,  August 2nd, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. at the Montezuma Methodist Church 201 North Dooly Street, Montezuma. Pastor Jonathan Beckum will officiate the service.

The family will receive friends after the service in the church fellowship hall with light refreshments being served.

In lieu of flowers Jackie has requested donations to your Cancer charity of choice in memorandum of Randy.
