MONTEZUMA, GA - Pauline Yoder, age 81, of Montezuma, Georgia passed away Thursday, February 27, 2014 at Phoebe Sumter Medical Center in Americus, Georgia. Visitation is scheduled for 6 to 8 p.m., Saturday, March 1, 2014 at the Montezuma Mennonite Church. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m., Sunday, March 2, 2014 at the Montezuma Mennonite Church. Rev. Donny Swartzentruber will officiate the service.Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Mrs. Yoder was born January 17, 1933 in Somerset County, Pennsylvania to the late Simon Yoder and Lydia Yoder. She lived in Montezuma for 61 years and was a member of the Montezuma Mennonite Church.
Mrs. Yoder is survived by her husband Allen E. Yoder of Montezuma, Georgia; her son, Paul E. (Carol) Yoder of Montezuma, Georgia; three daughters, Margaret Pauline (Nathan) Schlabach of Masaya, Nicaragua, Shirley Louise (Merlin) Yoder of Newberry, South Carolina, and Joyce Elaine Reed of Heweyville, Kentucky. She also leaves behind three brothers, Galen S. Yoder, of Pelkie, Michigan, Denver S. Yoder of Altamont, Tennessee, and Gerald S. (Mary) Yoder of Costa Rica; two sisters, Thelma Yoder of Dublin, Georgia and Marilyn (William) Yoder of LaRussel, Missouri. In addition, she leaves behind twenty-one grandchildren and twenty-two great-grandchildren.
