Paul Edward Reid, Sr., age 66, of Montezuma, GA, passed away Monday, April 13, 2009.
Visitation was from 6 - 8 PM Wednesday, April 15 at Watson-Mathews Funeral Home of Montezuma.
A graveside service was held at 2 PM, Thursday, April 16 at Felton Cemetery in Montezuma with Dr. Randy Gregg officiating.
He was born in Butler, GA to the late John Solomon Reid, Sr. and Edith Bagwell Reid. He retired as a Special Agent for the United States Customs Service. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Montezuma. He was a graduate of Macon County High School where he was on the basketball and baseball teams. He was a graduate of Auburn University with a degree in Aeronautical Management and member of Theta Chi Fraternity. He was an Eagle Scout. He was an avid golfer, hunter, and fisherman.
Survivors include his wife, Judith Payne Reid, his brother, John Solomon Reid, Jr. and Cora Elizabeth Reid of Sevierville, TN, his son, Paul Edward Reid, Jr. and Kimberly Ray Reid of Tuscaloosa, AL, daughter, Leigh Cavell Reid of Atlanta, GA, grandchildren, Katheryn and Paul Edward III and several nieces and nephews.
