Oneita Raburn Jones

Visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Friday, August 25, 2017 at Watson-Mathews Funeral Home.Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, August 26, 2017 at Whitewater Baptist Church in Oglethorpe, Georgia with Rev. Chris Hall, Rev Ray Smith and Rev. Gene Simmons officiating.Burial will follow at Oglethorpe Memorial Gardens in Oglethorpe, Georgia.
Mrs. Oneita was born September 12, 1924 in Ideal, Georgia to the late Floyd Raburn and Myrtle Taylor Raburn. She was a very faithful and devoted member of Whitewater Baptist Church.
Survivors include her four sons: Don Smith of Vienna, Georgia, Kenny Smith (Gail) of Oglethorpe, Georgia, Grady Jones (Cindy) of Sacramento, California and Kevin Elrod (Nerissa) of Mooreland, Georgia. Also surviving are thirteen grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren.Mrs. Oneita is preceded in death by her loving husband, Paul Jones; daughter, Sandra Phillips and son-in-law, Herschel Phillips, of Reynolds, Georgia and one sister, Elene Smith of Ideal, Georgia.
