PERRY, GA - Nellie Mae Barfield Wilson, age 85, a resident of Summerhill Nursing Home in Perry, Ga formerly of Oglethorpe, Ga passed away February 11, 2013.
Visitation will be Wednesday, February 13, 2013 from 2 to 3:30 p.m. at Watson-Mathews Funeral Home in Montezuma. A graveside service will be held Wednesday, February 13, at Pine Level United Methodist Church Cemetery in Garden Valley following the visitation.
The procession will depart from the funeral home at 3:30 PM.
Mrs. Wilson was born June 21, 1927 in Montezuma, Ga to the late Fletcher Willard Barfield and Alice Mae Mygrant Barfield. A native of Macon County, Mrs. Wilson moved to Newport News, Virginia in 1980 and spent the last four years at Summerhill Nursing Home in Perry, Ga. She was a member of New Life Baptist Church.
Mrs. Wilson is survived by her children, Wanda (Jerry) Wilder of Fort Valley, Ga and Larry (Wendy) Wilson of Warner Robins, Ga; two grandchildren, Sherry Wilder (Steven) Borders of Fort Mills, S.C. and Taylor Wilson of Warner Robins, Ga; two great-grandchildren, Lydia and Lucas Borders; two nieces, Glennice Stewart Wineman of Newport News, VA and Pamela Stewart Ducote of Americus, Ga; and a nephew, Jacky (Patsy) Stewart of Ideal, Ga.
