Nannie Ruth Dean

June 30, 1922 — February 17, 2012

Marshallville, GA - Nannie Ruth Williamson Dean, age 89, passed away Friday, February 17, 2012 at The Oaks Nursing and Personal Care Home.

Visitation will be held Saturday, February 18, 2012 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Watson-Mathews Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Sunday, February 19, 2012 at Marshallville Baptist Church with Rev. Charles Carter officiating. Burial will follow in Marshallville City Cemetery.

Ms. Dean was born June 30, 1922 to the late William and Susie Mae Fowler Williamson. She was employed by Bibb Manufacturing as a seamstress. Ms. Dean was a member of Marshallville Garden Club, was great baker, and very talented quilter. She was preceded in death by her husband, Freeman Dean.

Ms. Dean is survived by three daughters; Sara Sue Dean of Marshallville, Georgia; Nancy and Dan McMichael of Pine Mountain Valley, Georgia; and Marilee and Forrest May of Buford, Georgia; two brothers; Leroy Williamson and Jack Williamson, both of Marshallville, Georgia; and a sister-in-law; Dorothy Cotney of Byron, Georgia. She also leaves behind three grandchildren and their spouses; Leslie and Clif Kinard; Chris and Leslie McMichael; and Jessica May; six great-grandchildren; Abigail Kinard, Madison Kinard, Caleb Kinard; Daniel McMichael, Hudson McMichael and Rylen McMichael.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Association.

Watson-Mathews Funeral Home is in charge on arrangements.
