Nancy Hale Hill

Nancy Hale Hill, age 96, of Montezuma, GA passed away, Tuesday, October 31, 2023 at The Oaks Nursing & Personal Care Home in Marshallville, GA.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, November 18, 2023 at 2 PM in the sanctuary of the Montezuma Methodist Church. Pastor Jonathan Beckum will officiate the service.

Nancy was born January 13, 1927 in Cedar Rapids, Iowa to the late Lillian and Grafton Hale. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Yancey Hill; a sister, Marian Hale; one brother, Hal Hale and a niece, Sally Riddle

Nancy was faithful and longtime member of Montezuma Methodist Church. She also sang in the church choir. Nancy and her husband Yancey owned and operated Hill’s Department Store on Cherry Street in downtown Montezuma for many years.

Survivors include her two sons, David Hill (Dianne) of Atlanta, GA and Douglas Hill (Debbie) of Douglasville, GA; three grandchildren, Kathleen Hill, Andrew Hill and Alison Hill; two great-grandchildren, Lucas Hill and Sascha Hill also survive.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in her name to the Montezuma Methodist Church, P.O. Box 159, Montezuma, GA 31063.
