JACKSON GAP, AL - Funeral Services for Mr. Morris Stroud, age 90, of Montezuam GA, formerly of Jacksons Gap, Alabama will be held at 11:00 AM, Monday, November 11, 2013 at Bass Funeral Home in Alexander City, Alabama with Reverends Ed Brown and Jeff Dye officiating.The family will receive friends from 5-7 PM, Sunday, November 10, 2013 at Bass Funeral Home.

Mr. Stroud passed away on November 7, 2013 in Montezuma, GA. He was born in Coosa County on August 6, 1923 to James Samuel Stroud and Mattie Thomas Stroud. He was a member of Old Rocky Mt. Baptist Church. Mr. Stroud also served in the U. S. Navy.

He is survived by five sons; Ronnie (Mary Lou) Stroud of Alexander City, Jerry (Rendie) Stroud of Alexander City, Randy Stroud of Jacksons Gap, Roger Stroud of Alexander City, and Jeffery (Sharon) Stroud of Virginia; fourteen grandchildren; and numerous great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; James Samuel Stroud and Mattie Thomas Stroud; wife of 58yrs., Myrtice Stroud; grandson, James Gilliland; brother, Doris Stroud; and sister, Lucille Wilson.
