AMERICUS, GA - Minnie Lee Lamberth Parks, age 84 of Americus, GA passed away Wednesday morning, February 2, 2011 at her granddaughters residence in Leesburg, GA.

Funeral services were held, Saturday, Feb. 5, 2011 at 11 AM, in the chapel of Watson-Mathews Funeral Home with Rev. Keith Parks officiating. Burial followed in Bertha Dozier Memorial Park Cemetery in Montezuma.

The family received friends at her daughter's residence (Judy Legg), 904 Old Andersonville Road in Andersonville, GA on Friday, Feb. 4 from 6 to 8 PM.

She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Americus and was very dedicated for many years with helping with Wednesday night suppers at the church. She enjoyed gardening and being with her family.

Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Judy and Robert Legg of Andersonville, GA and granddaughter and grandson-in-law, April and Jered Thompson of Leesburg, GA; two brothers and two sisters also survive. She is preceded in death by her husband, Fred Franklin Parks, a son, Roger Parks and five brothers and four sisters.
