Mary Ann Wright

A native and lifelong resident of Macon County, Mary Ann was born October 22, 1944 to the late Richard Wilson and late Evelyn Pitts Wilson. She was owner/operator of Wrights Grocery for over forty years and also a member of the Christian Heritage Worship Center in Oglethorpe, Georgia.
Family will receive friends on Wednesday, December 13, 2017 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Watson-Mathews Funeral Home.
Funeral services are scheduled for Thursday, December 14, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. at Watson-Mathews Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Ralph Price officiating. Burial will follow at Oglethorpe Memorial Gardens in Oglethorpe, Georgia.
Survivors include one son; Michael Harris of Oglethorpe, Georgia; one daughter, Tina Patterson Yarbrough (Troy) of Oglethorpe, Georgia; one sister, Maggie Cromer of Montezuma, Georgia. Also surviving are four grandchildren: James Patterson, Jake Patterson, Katie Patterson, Courtney Patterson and one great-grandson, Connor Patterson along with many nieces, nephews and a host of other family members.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Bobby "Sam" Wright, one brother, James Wilson and four sisters: Carolyn Childree, Joann Howell, Betty Hill and Eloise Shirah.
Flowers will be accepted.
