Mary Alice Taylor

She was born in Dooling, Georgia on July 29, 1928 to the late Alysberry Kirksey and Lizzie Savannah Peterman Kirksey.Mrs. Mary Alice was a faithful member of the First Baptist Church in Montezuma, Georgia where she taught Sunday school and also served as chairman of the Bereavement Committee. She retired from Wachovia Bank after 40 years of service.
Graveside services are scheduled for 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, September 5, 2020 at Bertha Dozier Memorial Park in Montezuma, Georgia and Reverend Joe Tessin will officiate. Family is asked to assemble at the cemetery at 10:45 a.m.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband, James E. Taylor, Sr., a sister, Louise Kirksey Johnson and a brother, William Franklin Kirksey.
Her memory will forever be cherished by her three children; Mary Anne Jones (Lynn) of Montezuma, Georgia, James Edward Taylor Jr. (Michelle) of Prosper, Texas and Thomas Daniel Taylor of Spring, Texas.Also surviving are five grandchildren: Amy Brown (Jason), Leigh Anne Bridges (Phillip), Erin Cox (Jason) James Taylor (Elizabeth) and Marissa Osborn (Bryan) along with eight great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.
Flowers will be accepted or memorial donations may be given in memory of Mary Alice Taylor to First Baptist Church, P.O. Box 357, Montezuma, Georgia 31063. Sympathy may be expressed by signing the online registry at www.watsonmathewsfuneralhome.com
