OGLETHORPE, GA - Mary Maxine Law, age 64, of Oglethorpe, GA, passed away Thursday night, November 20, 2014 at Phoebe-Sumter Medical Center in Americus, GA.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 A.M., on Tuesday, November 25, 2014 in the Chapel of Watson-Mathews Funeral Home in Montezuma, GA with burial to follow in the Oglethorpe Memorial Gardens. Rev. Randy Harris will officiate the service.
Visitation will be from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. on Monday, November 24, 2014 at Watson-Mathews Funeral Home in Montezuma, GA.
Serving as pallbearers are Chris Barfield, Will Patterson, Everett Law, Rene Melo, Kelly Jones and Blake Thompson.
At other times, the family may be contacted at the residence of Patsy and Jackie Stewart, 2954 Whitewater Road, Ideal, GA.
Mrs. Law was born April 1, 1950 in Montezuma, GA to the late James Brown Barfield and Edith Guy Barfield. She enjoyed spending time with her family and attended Little Bethel Baptist Church.
Mrs. Law is survived by her husband, David Law, of Oglethorpe, GA; two children: Cheryl (Steven) Simmons of Bossier City, LA, and Kevin (Tammi) Law of Montezuma, GA; one brother, Virgil (Charlotte) Barfield of Ideal, GA, and two sisters: Patsy (Jackie) Stewart of Ideal, GA and Liz (Freddy) Tatum of Oglethorpe, GA. She also leaves behind seven grandchildren: Richard Bishop, Kayla Wright, J.B. Law, Chloee Law, Kinsley Wright, Emilee Law, and Mary Kathryn Wright; and one great-grandson, Jayden Bishop. A host of nieces, nephews, and other family members also survive.
