JACKSONVILLE, FLORIDA - On Saturday, September 1, 2018, Mary Louise Bush, loving wife, mother, and grandmother, passed away at the age of 101.
Louise was born October 24, 1916 in Unadilla, Georgia to Aaron Wesley and Eva Marie Blankenship. On April 9, 1937 she married Obie Price Bush. They raised one daughter, Obie Marie. Louise led a quiet and humble Christian life devoted to her family and friends. She was a talented seamstress and used that ability to make beautiful clothing for her daughter and granddaughter. She spent her life serving others while keeping up with the daily soap operas she loved to watch. She was never seen in public without her hair coiffed and her lipstick on.
Louise was preceded in death by her father, mother, and her siblings Bernard, Hoderick, Mildred, and Norma. She was also preceded in death by her husband,Obie, and her son-in-law, Harry.
She is survived by her daughter Obie Marie McLendon; granddaughter Charlotte Baker; grandson John McLendon (Marlene); four great-grandchildren; and five great-great grandchildren.
A funeral service was held on Wednesday, September 5, 2018 at 11:30a.m. at Hardage-Giddens Riverside Memorial Park and Funeral Home in Jacksonville, FL.
A graveside service will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Tuesday, September 11, 2018 at Bertha Dozier Memorial Park.
