MONTEZUMA, GA - Mark D. Brenneman, age 91, of Montezuma, GA went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, January 18, 2012 at his residence.
Visitation will be from 6:00 PM to 8:30 PM on Saturday, January 21, in the Montezuma Mennonite Church Fellowship Hall. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM, Sunday, January 22, at the Montezuma Mennonite Church. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Mr. Brenneman was born in Grantsville, Maryland on September 7, 1920 to the late Daniel J. Brenneman and Leila Yoder Brenneman. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Vernie Yoder; and second wife, Elsie Yoder; a son, Phillip Brenneman; brother, Paul Brenneman; and sisters Sara Yoder and Verda Swartzentruber. He was a retired dairy farmer and a member of the Montezuma Mennonite Church.
Mr. Brenneman's survivors include six sons, Henry (Vera) Brenneman of Las Delicias, El Salvador; Raymond Brenneman of Montezuma, Georgia; Alvin Carl (Emma) Brenneman of Catlett, Virginia; Mark Edward (Loretta) Brenneman of Montezuma, Georgia; Leon Brenneman of Montezuma, Georgia; and Lowell (JoAnn) of Falkville, Alabama; two daughters, Lela Brenneman of Montezuma, Georgia; and Ellen Ruth Brenneman of Danville, Alabama; one daughter-in-law, Miriam Brenneman of Millersburg, Ohio. He is also survived by two brothers, Carl Brenneman of Clayton, Illinois; and Henry Brenneman of Grantsville, Maryland; and a sister, Ida Brenneman of Virginia Beach, Virginia; twenty-eight grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.
