A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, August 27, 2020 at Bertha Dozier Memorial Park. Visitation is scheduled from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, August 26, 2020 at Watson-Mathews Funeral Home.
Born October 15, 1942 in Macon Georgia, she was the daughter of the late Mr. James A. Carr and Mrs. Marie Butler Carr. Mrs. Marilyn was of Methodist faith and loved working in her yard, cutting grass and fishing. She was employed with Macon County School System as secretary for 29 years.
Survivors include her beloved husband, Don Satterfield of Montezuma; two sons: Tony Satterfield and wife, Dustie, of Ideal, Georgia and Brian Satterfield of Montezuma, Georgia; a brother, Wayne Carr and wife, Karen, of Warner Robins, Georgia; a grandchild, Chelsea Satterfield and a step-grandchild, Carrie Joiner.
Along with her parents, she is preceded by a step-grandchild, Josh Joiner and her sister, Pat Allen.
