OGLETHORPE, GA - Margie Parks, age 67, of Oglethorpe, GA passed away Tuesday, September 1, 2015 at Heart of Georgia Hospice in Perry, GA.
The family will receive friends from 6 – 8 PM, Wednesday, September 2, 2015 at Watson-Mathews Funeral Home in Montezuma, GA.
A funeral service will be held at 10 AM, Thursday, September 3, 2015 at Mt. Zion-St. Luke Lutheran Church in Oglethorpe, GA with burial following in Andersonville National Cemetery.
Mrs. Parks was born on December 16, 1947 in Oglethorpe, GA to the late Henry Robinson and Lillian Flowers Robinson. She was also preceded in death by her brother, Jack Robinson. She was a homemaker and a member of Mt. Zion-St. Luke Lutheran Church in Oglethorpe, GA.
Survivors include her husband, Kenneth Parks of Oglethorpe, GA; children, Tony (Renee) Collier of Oglethorpe, GA and Stefanie Rolen of White, GA; seven brothers and sisters, Betty (Dillion) Long of Palatka, FL, Louise Giddens of Cochran, GA, Benny (Alvina) Robinson of Oglethorpe, GA, Cheryl (Buddy) Justice of Statesboro, GA, Mike (Sarah) Robinson of Ellaville, GA, Ted (Mary Lynn)Robinson of Ideal, GA and Patti (Darren) Player of Oglethorpe, GA; three grandchildren, Richard (Angie) Collier of Oglethorpe, GA, Brett (Katie) Collier of Macon, GA, Trenton Rolen of White, GA and one great grandson, A.J. Collier of Oglethorpe, GA; and many nieces and nephews also survive.
