ATHENS, ALABAMA - Margaret Moody Rodgers, 71, of Athens, Alabama passed away Thursday, January 31, 2019 at her residence. Mrs. Rodgers was born October 8, 1947 in Bangor, Maine to Orville Simpson Moody and Erma Eleanor Norris Moody. She is preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Ed Moody.

Survivors include her husband, Alvie Rodgers, one daughter, Tracy Plastina (Tony) of Dawsonville, GA; two sons, Alvie, Rodgers, II (Emily) of Dahlonega, GA, Rick Crowe-Lockerman (John) of Perry, GA; three brothers, Jim Moody (Nancy) of Peachtree City, GA, Tom Moody (Jerry) of Perry, GA, Bob Moody of Michigan; sister in law, Katie; two grandchildren, Tiffany Worley (Brandon) and Trey Rodgers, and one great grandson, Colton Worley.

Visitation will be Saturday, February 2, 2019 from 4-6 p.m. at McConnell Funeral Home in Athens, AL. A graveside service will be held Monday, February 4, 2019 at 2 p.m. at Fairview Memorial Gardens in Stockbridge, GA.

McConnell Funeral Home in Athens, Alabama is in charge of arrangements.
