MONTEZUMA, GA - Mrs. Marcia Ann Orta Griffin, 62, of Montezuma, GA, passed away at her home Saturday, January 23, 2016. Graveside services will be held at 3 p.m., Monday, January 25, 2016 at Cedar Valley Baptist Church in Montezuma, GA with Rev. Ed Sandefur officiating.

Mrs. Griffin was born July 31, 1953 to the late Juan Jose Orta and Nellie Elizabeth Lanier Orta. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Lessie Marie Griffin, and a brother, Joe Sheridan.

Mrs. Griffin is survived by her husband, Melvin Griffin, of Montezuma, GA; four brothers: Tom Sheridan of Augusta, GA, Johnny Sheridan of Augusta, GA, Glen Sheridan of Fort White, FL, and Scott Orta of Hawkinsville, GA; one sister, Jennifer Allen of Perry, GA; and twelve nieces and nephews.
