Lucy Elizabeth Thompson

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, August 18, 2012 at 3:00 PM in the Byromville Baptist Church with Rev. Ed Sandefur officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church. Burial will follow in Roberts Cemetery. Grandsons will serve as active pallbearers.
Mrs. Thompson was born on October 12, 1917 in Worth County, GA to the late James Lemuel Greer and Donnie Kilabrew Greer. She was preceded in death by her husband, Herschel Ray Thompson, a daughter, Shelvia Judah and a son, Herschel Edwin Thompson. She was a faithful member of Byromville Baptist Church, Senior Adults Sunday School Class, Seasons Saints Travel Group and Woodmen of the World. She was retired from Vanta Mill in Montezuma, GA.
Survivors include her 6 children, Floyd Tucker of Hawkinsville, GA, Allen Thompson and his wife Hildred of Byromville, GA, Mary Beth Reed of Byromville, GA, Margaret Mayo and her husband Buck of Enterprise, AL, Buck Thompson and his wife Debbie of Perry, GA and Cathy Thompson of Byromville, GA; a very special sister-in-law, Mary Greer of Dooling, GA; 20 grandchildren, 35 great grandchildren, 6 Great Great Grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews also survive.
Flowers will be accepted or memorial contributions may be made to Byromville Baptist Church, P.O. Box 126, Byromville, GA 31007.
